Mrs. Stickel's ELA classes to their learning to court! They visited the Country Courthouse to debate their opinions! Look out, 6th-graders get pretty passionate about their ideas! What a great way to apply and make what they have been learning about writing memorable!

Read Across America might have been a few weeks ago! However, it is never too late to celebrate our students' growing as readers! Ms. Tennant's classes dug into their books!

Who's classroom has these unique small pieces of art decorating her walls?

Mrs. Lynn's Homeroom takes time to reflect and identify emotions. Whew, in life, there are a lot of emotions flying every which way. Being able to identify the emotions we experience is the first step in coping with them.

Whatcha Reading Wednesday!
Mrs. Eckert's Homeroom is digging into their books! The variety of books you see our students reading is exciting. There is a book for every interest and reader.
What are you reading?

Thank you to Dylan @dylan.delay.54 and Shane for hanging out at WMS last week. They are MSU practicum students participating in the Rural Practicum Program through MSU. We appreciate their enthusiasm and passion for teaching. Special thanks to Mrs. Lensegrav and Mrs. Hellman for hosting them. Big shout out to Dr. Marcie Reuer, who helps make it possible for the MSU students to come! Thank you MSU for your continued support of young educators.

Our Homeroom with the highest sales in our fundraiser was Mrs. Eckert's Homeroom. They enjoyed a donut party! Teamwork makes the dream work!

Thank you to Ms. Tennant and our FACS students for assisting with some finishing touches on our soundboards that were added to our cafeteria! We wouldn't have been able to get into the new space as soon without your help!

Mrs. Houck's class celebrated learning their British vocabulary words by having Tea Time. Are you ready for a spot of tea too?

Luck of the Irish to ya whether you are Irish or not!!! Happy St. Patrick's Day from the youngest of our students!!!

Thank you to Molly at Crazy Woman Espresso for helping us get this project off and running!

Mrs. Kettner's Homeroom became curious about the absorption rate of our school
Paper towels compared to other materials. So, what did they do? They investigated! See some of their results below. This had led to an enthusiasm for even more investigation and comparisons!
Curiosity helps us to want to learn and grow!!!

Our students love to gamify their learning. This game is called “red light green light math” …created by Tiana and Rydyr.
In Mrs. Eckert's class, when her students create a game, they discuss potential rules, play it, gather together as a group at the end of a round, and reflect on the successes in procedure and how we could make the game more fluid and effective. Then, they try again with alterations.
Incredible creativity and critical thinking!
