WMS is looking for a Special Education Teacher for 2024-2025 school year. See information below.

WMS brought back Field Day for its students and staff! Last Thursday, students enjoyed being outside and hanging out with their homerooms and teachers, participating in various activities. Trust me, many are harder than they look. One of my favorites was the Change Off Relay. Running in pants to big and exchanging them with the next runner. Speed wasn't everything in this event. The exchange was key. Special shout out to Ms. Huston and Mr. Mercado for planning and facilitating the event. Thank you to all the staff who supported them in getting it ready! Thank you to all our students and staff for participating and enjoying the day!

As our WMS Demons were reminded earlier this month about what Memorial Day stands for, please take time on this day with your family to honor those who gave their lives of or our country.

Who says you have to paint in the traditional sense? Our 6th-graders in Mrs. Lynn's class are exploring different ways to paint!

Last Monday, our 8th-graders enjoyed their field trip to Makoshika and the local museum. They were tourists in their own town!

I am a bit behind in my posts. I'll catch up! So many great things have been going on in the last few weeks.
Shout out to our 8th-graders as they leave the halls of WMS on their way to DCHS. Here is a video of our 8th-graders on their "walkout." Thanks to Mrs. Eckert for the video!

At WMS, we appreciate our military every month, we wanted to give you a shout out. Thanks to those who are service, have served, and their family members who serve(d) with them! We appreciate all you do and continue to do!

We are here if you need us!!!

Shout out to our TIP members and Mrs. Nissley for facilitating a special week of appreciation for all our staff. TIP members adopt a staff member and remind them
in different ways how much he/she is appreciated. One of my favorites are the posters they create to hang throughout the school. Here are just a few!

Veteran Visit
We had some wonderful Veterans come to share their knowledge with WMS students and staff on Monday. They discussed the difference between Memorial Day and Veteran's Day, shared their own experiences and in which branch they served, and so much more. They also gifted students red poppy clips, which have become recognized as the memorial flower throughout the world, patriotic pencils, and new flags to fly in front of our school. We thank you for your service and time: Brian Vetter, Rick Berg, Dennis and Doug Byron, RT Morris, and auxiliary members Sarah Plummer and her daughter and Cynthia Person.

Our 6th-graders in Mrs. Stickel's class took their cases to court last week. Things get serious when persuasive essays become not just on paper!!!
Making learning real!!!

If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Boes' art work, don't worry. She is leaving a beautiful piece for us to enjoy for a long time to remember her by. Thank you, Ms. Boes!
