Washington Middle School will have two days for students to come and pick up their belongings. We have placed locker items in bags and placed them in the hallway for pick up outside of your students homeroom class. We will have a table set up in the entry way for any books that your child may need to return (library, teacher’s classroom library, etc.). Chromebooks and HotSpots will be returned to the office and you will be given a sign off sheet showing you have returned it. We are also asking that students stop by their gym locker and lost and found to pick for any additional items that may be theirs. Pick up times are as follows; Thursday May 14th and Friday May 15th Last Name A-I 8:00 a.m -10:30 a.m. Last Name J-R 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Last Name S-Z 1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. We will be following CDC guidelines and only allowing 10 students in the building at a time and we ask that students follow social distancing. Thank you!

Social-Emotional Learning is very important to us here at GPS. In the final weeks of school, we will be offering many opportunities for you and your student(s) to watch and participate in some online learning in regards to resilience. From Superintendent Schreibeis: The GPS Board of Trustees met Wednesday night and unanimously approved the recommendation to continue online remote learning for the remainder of this school year. This is an intentional decision that puts the safety of our students and staff first and foremost. While our school campuses are closed, we have an obligation to ensure our students continue to receive quality education services through the remainder of the school year, with a focus on the delivery of instruction through distance learning and providing school meals to our students. If you currently have questions or concerns about your students’ progress, please take the time to contact your child’s teacher(s). We recognize the closure of school campuses through the end of the school year brings about many questions. Please be watching for upcoming communication from your child’s principal and teacher(s) on how these last few weeks of the school year will be used to get assignments and work turned in, return textbooks and other school-owned items, and provide additional support that may be needed. More information will be coming out in the upcoming days. I also want to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of school staff to serve our students and families with continuity of learning, nutrition, and social/emotional supports during these unprecedented circumstances. Parent/Guardians: Mid-Term grades for 4th quarter will be posted in the Infinite Campus portal this Friday, 4/24 by 4 pm. Please log in to see your child's current quarter progress. https://mtdecloud3.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/glendive.jsp We have also made the decision to start using the ICU database again to communicate with parent/guardians regarding the missing work their child has. We did not want to overwhelm parents/students when we began the online learning process but after feedback from parent/guardians who feel they are not sure what their child has turned in or not completed, we felt should take advantage of the communication tool we have been using throughout the year and use the database once again. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the school at 377-2356. GO DEMONS!!!
