TRACK UPDATE: Due to the weather conditions expected on Saturday, we have made the decision to move our track meet to this Friday, May 7th. The meet will start at 10 am at the Oakland Athletic Complex. We apologize for the short notice for the change.

CONGRATULATIONS to Brenda Mast- WMS SPED teacher who was selected as the April WMS Staff Member of the month by the WMS administration for her work with our online students and her many years of dedication to GPS! Hiking in Makoshika or the mountains. Why did you decide to work at WMS? My husband accepted a position at DCC and we moved to Glendive. I was fortunate to be offered a job at WMS. If you could be any cartoon character who would you choose and why? Garfield, he makes me laugh and he is the only cat I don’t sneeze around! What is your favorite quote? Peace… it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. (unknown)

April 21, 2021 is Administrative Professionals Day! Here at Washington Middle School we have one of the best secretaries around. We appreciate you Ms. Cleveland and all you do for the students and staff of our school! Ms. Cleveland....YOU ROCK!!! #WMSDEMONS #GPSPRIDE

On April 14, 2021, our Washington Middle School Academic Team competed at the Region IV MASSP Academic Olympics in Wolf Point, MT. We were represented by 2 teams consisting of Cassidy Rau, Wayne Zimdars, Nathan Marley, Brianna Barnick, Jacob Wade, MacKenzie Duede, Ryan Carney, Cole Thornton, Audrey Haase, and Haven Wade. Our School competed against 6 other schools in 4 written tests and an oral round competition. Awards were given to Jacob Wade for 9th in Science and 5th in Math. Haven Wade earned 6th place in the written English test. The students were impressive with how they represented themselves and our school. They were respectful, responsible, and kind! GO DEMONS!!! #WMSDEMONS #GPSPRIDE

Ms. Newton was selected for her excellent work including labs into her instruction and for parental involvement. My family & I painted rocks we had found and placed them throughout our yard when they were finished. What is your favorite outside activity? Our family loves to camp, fish and have water fights in the backyard during the summer months. Why did you decide to work at WMS? To conquer my fear of being a middle school teacher. And now, I love it!! If you could be any cartoon character who would you choose and why? Ariel-she is my favorite Disney princess. She is rebellious and adventurous. It would be cool to be able to swim with the ocean animals. What is your favorite quote?
