Veteran Visit We had some wonderful Veterans come to share their knowledge with WMS students and staff on Monday. They discussed the difference between Memorial Day and Veteran's Day, shared their own experiences and in which branch they served, and so much more. They also gifted students red poppy clips, which have become recognized as the memorial flower throughout the world, patriotic pencils, and new flags to fly in front of our school. We thank you for your service and time: Brian Vetter, Rick Berg, Dennis and Doug Byron, RT Morris, and auxiliary members Sarah Plummer and her daughter and Cynthia Person.

Our 6th-graders in Mrs. Stickel's class took their cases to court last week. Things get serious when persuasive essays become not just on paper!!! Making learning real!!! #GoDemons

On Monday evening, our WMS NJHS celebrated the induction of their new members. Always an enjoyable evening. Thanks to Mrs. Zimdars for facilitating this wonderful group and preparing for the evening. #GoDemons

Our 7th-graders visited Fort Union and Fort Buford last Thursday!!! When the students come back tired, you know they have been busy learning and exploring!! Thanks to our 7th-grade teachers! When our kids come back tired, our teachers come back even more tired. We appreciate your extra energy and planning!!

Our soon-to-be Demons visited from Lincoln on Thursday. It was wonderful see their smiling faces and answer their questions! We'll see you in the Fall!! Thank you to Mrs. Nissley, our 8th-graders, and the 5th-grade teachers for making this possible.

The WMS Track Team hosted their home invitational yesterday. The number of PR's and best efforts outshined the sun. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this almost 12 hour event happen!!! We wouldn't be able to do it without you! #GoDemons

WOW! Last Thursday, Mr. Hopfauf and Mr. Delay's class had screening live of awards given by Empowered, a partner with the Montana Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Hopfauf and Mr. DeLay classes participated in the middle school pitch competitions. The sixth graders participated in the Design Challenge and Existing Business Ideas. The Design Challenge focuses choosing three things and letting their creativity shine. The seventh graders participated in Hack My School. Hack My School focuses on solutions for students' ideas to improve their school. Awards Given to our WMS Students 6th-grade: Gentry D. and Maddie G. Emersyn H. Chance C. Ashtyn B 7th-grade: Kade G. Slade H. Grace W. The awards include start-up funding and guidance to make their ideas a reality. #GoDemons

Tomorrow is National School Lunch Hero Day! However, we are celebrating it at WMS today! Thank you to our amazing Kitchen Staff. Literally, a day doesn't go by that they don't have a positive impact on our students and staff.
